After 19 years of marriage, I discovered my husband was having an affair with his secretary at work. By the time I found out, it had been going on for several years. The most hurtful thing was that everyone had known apart from me – some of our friends had even had them round for dinner!

Instead I left him and moved into’nice apartment with our two children. For the first time in years, a lot of the stress I felt disappeared. My husband moved his mistress in but a year after we split, he was on my doorsteps begging for forgiveness. His affair hadn’t worked out and he now wants his family back.

I’m now used to being on my own but the temptation is to go back to him when the trust is gone.
