MUSIC REVIEW

With her forth-coming long awaited album release comes a theme with a highly embracing international appeal. Those expecting a one-sided African orientation approach might be slightly disappointed at the strength of the overall sound quality and musicianship rendered by this powerful West African vocalist. .

MUSIC

….Afro funk, jazz, hip-hop, neo soul, lovers rock and dancehall rhythms are combined through her music. She has been linked for her growls and swoops that link African tradition to American soul music. She produces dance music as well as slow captivating dance songs with a lot of sensuality. With her forth-coming album comes a theme with a highly-embracing international appeal. Heart wrenching, happy and spiritual, the album explores many of the musical boundaries exposing the facets of Kweens’ personality and musical ability encompassing a number of styles in her extensive repertoire. Her self-titled album, KWEENDOMCOME exactly as the name suggests is about the faces of lives speaking of her trials and experiences pulling up strong emotions from it’s would be listeners while managing to preserve an indisputable African feel, reminding us that Africa lies at the root of this exciting piece.

PHILOSOPHY

“The wealth of experience you’ve gathered comes with time……nobody gives it to you as reward or price for credibility. I’ve come a long way with what I know and only time is the greatest reward for that”
