Erhuen Bright was born in kaduna in the late '80s.Papi is an Urhobo from delta state but was brought up in port Harcourt and Lagos. he had his secondary education at the famous government college, Ughelli.
Bright who records under the stage name as Papi has a double honors degree in mass communication and linguistics from the University of Port Harcourt.
A protégé of OJB Jezreel; he learned the rudiments of music, especially notation and renaissance ensemble playing under him. Since then he has taken lessons on piano, guitar, and clarinet, also enjoying the challenge of teaching himself to play the flute and violin. Since the beginning of secondary school, when he was introduced to the concepts of musical history and analysis, he has been experimenting with music from all over the world. Papi cites among his influence John Coltrane, R. Kelly, Tracy Chapman, Loreeena Mckennitt, Kanye West and Fela Kuti.
An intelligent and creatively committed artiste, Papi has worked with ace producers, OJB Jezreel; Terry G, Samklef and Da Blizz. He has featured and has been featured by OJB, Terry G, Xpected, Saint and Da Blizz.
As a true artiste, Papi is inspired by the people he comes across everyday and the wonders of living itself is a big source of inspiration for him. In his word " Simplest of everyday things, things we don’t reflect about, are inspirational for me" that he "i didn’t choose music, music chose me". Fineboi Drama is the third single from his forth coming EP.
