Darey dropped his long awaited album Double Dare today and the 20 track album didn't fail to deliver. As the tracks were produced and mixed by SMS in Abuja, Darey who to me is the leading R&B act in the industry shows from this album that perfection is around the corner. The 20 track album provides everything you can want in a good R&B album. He tried new sounds and showed us his fun and lets get down side in tracks like Turn Me On which features Mo'Cheddah. He showed he also has an eye for really good beats. Like A Movie definitely points out that fact. The features on the album were just enough. He featured the likes of Mo' Cheddah, P-Square, Timaya, Chamillionaire, Jesse Jagz and 9ice. All the collaborations on the album made sense in my opinion. I really couldn't point many wrongs in the album. I felt like he could have done a more original Nigerian track that the streets can listen to but thats a point I know many of you readers can challenge. Ba Niki Di was a good Hausa song though. The remix to The Way You Are also was on the album and it featured American Rap star Chamillionaire who reached out to Dare to do the track because he really liked the beat. Double Dare is an album that can compete even on international grounds in my opinion. Very well done Dare. The album is available for purchase on Itunes and Notjustok.
