SIN IS WRONG! HOLINESS IS RIGHT!The broad road is the wrong road with the wrong crowd that leads to destruction! The narrow road is the right road with the right crowd that leads to heaven! [Matthew 7:13-14] Those who are in the kingdom of darkness are wrong-doers under the dominion of the devil! Those who are born of God are in the kingdom of light do what is right in the sight of God!
1st John 2:29’if you that He is righteous, ye know that everyone that doeth righteousness is born of Him! We are right-doers! We practice righteousness! We need clear cut convictions concerning sin and righteousness!
Isaiah 5:20'Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness."When people do not carefully observe the distinction between right and wrong, destruction follows. When we make lame excuses for wrong actions, we are breaking down the distinction between sin and righteousness! If we do not take God's Word as our holy standard for godly living soon all moral choices will appear 'fuzzy' and unclear!
1. Titus 2:12 Tells us that grace teaches us to live righteous in this present world!
2. Eph.4:24 Tells us to put on the new man which is created by God in righteousness and true holiness!
3. Phil.1:11 Tells us that we should be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Christ Jesus!
4.1st Tim.6:11 Tells us to follow after righteousness!
5. Rom.6:18 Tells us we are free from the bondage of sin and that we now are servants of righteousness!
6.2nd Tim.3:16 Tells us the inspired Word of God was given to us for instruction in righteousness!
7. Prov.14:34 Tells us righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
8. Luke 1:74-75 Tells us that we are delivered from the enemy so we can now serve the Lord in holiness and righteousness 'before Him’, all the days of our lives.
9.1st Cor.15:34 Tells us to 'Awake to righteousness, and sin not: for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.' ALL VERY IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES!
The New Birth gives us a New Life which will change the way we live our lives! We will grow in righteous character.
Psalm 1:6 'For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.' We do not 'fit in' in this culture! We are pilgrims not on vacation but on a rescue mission! We are children of the light and we walk in the light! Ephesians 5:11' And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.' Read Ephesians 5:1-17 this is an amazing passage!
