Cletus did every degrading and humiliating thing one can think of in the quest to impress the girl he so cherished. Unknown to him this girl is just leading him on. His world comes to a screeching halt in limbo when he stumbles into the traditional wedding ceremony of the lady whom in his delusion of grandeur is his woman. He leaves the village as a result.
