Disappointed Super Eagles' fans on Saturday in Abuja showed their bitterness by vandalising some parts of the stadium and by calling for removal of Coach Samson Siasia.

Super Eagles drew 2-2 against Guinea's Syli Nationale to seal Nigeria’s hopes of participating in the 2012 African Nations Cup.

In the qualifying final round `Group B’ match played at the Abuja National Stadium, the Eagles had come from behind to lead 2-1 until the fifth minute of added time.

While the fans had restrained themselves from booing the team during the game, in spite of a lacklustre performance, they, however, started booing the players after  the game.

After booing the players off the pitch, an appreciable number of the fans, who could find their way to the stadium's VIP Section, broke a glass window near the Media Centre.

The fans made frantic attempts to break in and make their feelings known to the horde of journalists who were waiting for the post-match conference.

Military policemen and anti-riot policemen, who were part of the heavy security arrangements put in place for the match, however, stopped the irate fans from entering the VIP Lounge

Another group of fans also broke down part of the wire fence near the Upper Terrace turnstiles, as they were moving out of the stadium, to show their anger.

But some of them were still able to make their feelings known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in separate interviews, with many of them calling for Siasia's sack.

``Now Nigerians have seen the difference, after they sacked Amodu Shaibu and refused to take either Stephen Keshi or Augustine Eguavoen.

``Siasia has failed us; he should just go and give way before we fail to qualify for the 2014 World Cup,'' an Abuja-based fan, Henry Akalonu, said.

Gbenga Ogunmuyiwa, a Keffi-based businessman, said that the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) should remove Siasia.

He said: ``The coach's hardline stance led him to fall out with many of his players, thereby leading to disunity in the team.

``It is clear that the players are not happy with him. This is the result of his decision to always go hard on them.

``If he had not had problems with Osaze Odemwingie, Vincent Enyeama and Mikel Obi, we could have had a better team to beat Guinea,'' Ogunmuyiwa said.

Bangoura Ismael had given Guinea the lead in the 54th minute to dampen the fans' morale, while Obinna Nsofor drew level in the 63rd minute to raise hopes.

Substitute Ikechukwu Uche scored in the 78th minute to put the Eagles in line for qualification, only for the sloppy defending that led to the equaliser.

Traore Ibrahima sliced through tired-looking Eagles defenders in the fifth minute of added six minutes in the second half to draw level and put Guinea solidly on its way to the Nations Cup.

ah ah. They should leave him na. Wasn't you guys dat were sayin you want siasia? He's d man for d job abi? You see why i said we should have sticked to amodu. Twice he gave us world cup ticket. He's a better coach dan siasia. Even lagerbeer is better but no. Y'all wanted siasia. Now see d end result. No nations cup for us. If nff sacks him they should bring back amodu or better still hire keshi or better still go back to their vomit (bring a foreign coach). Simple as that

We shouldn't blame the coach for the failure of the team,we should rather blame the act of indiscipline in the likes of Mikel,Osaze,Enyeama and the rest.None of the Idiots I mentioned is ready to serve the country diligently, they are too proud, they're only looking for money not fame or glory of the country's football..I think it is High time we gave our football some  discipline rather than criticizing Siasia...The problem we Nigerians have is that,we think our football is growing but the reverse is the case, our football is dying due to lack of discipline and the corrupt system in the country..Let's allow Siasia impact some discipline on the team cos they need it... Clemens Westerhof did the same thing and we didn't qualify for the world cup in 1990 but he came up with a refreshed and disciplined team in 1994.Remember that Siasia has worked for the country at different levels and he succeeded to a point...The discipline that was impacted on the likes of Okocha from Westerhof made them famous today,Europeans only speaks till today of our old players like Kanu,Okocha,Amokachi and the rest of them and we think we still have football. wake up Nigerians the problems we have are some of the players and the corrupt NFF not any of the coaches former and present.

I warned my Nigerian friends in the last African Cup that, there is no way Nigeria could score Ghana under berti vogt. This assertion came true because,he was the coach who spearheaded the payment of the Ghana team who was leading 1-0  after first half  for them to loose 6-1 in favor of Germany. This was done because the Germans were about to sack him for incompetence. We did know all his technical capabilities.

No coach, that has ever coached Ghana before can lead any  team to beat Ghana. After assessing all their technical abilities,we would look for a system to counter their strategies should they leave us.

The technical abilities of Steven Keshi,Samson Siasia and Eguavoen can never lead Nigeria to beat Ghana.Psychologically, the mental fortitude or toughness doesn't match that of Ghana's technical handlers.

It really pains me a lot that Nigeria is out of the African cup of nations. My humble advice to Nigeria is that, they should as a matter of urgency start looking for a Serbian Coach.

It's really sad that the Super Eagles are not going to the african nations cup next year, and i think both the players and coach should be blamed for this  and the NFA should be blamed too. there is no organization or cooperation in the team. And for the angry fans, vandilising or destroying things is not right. No matter what you people do, most of this players don't really care!!!!!

I am shocked that ,at this age and era some Nigerian players consider their positions as their's permanently.Siasia, should start axing them because, they're gradually planning his downfall. Most of them don't want him to succeed.

The competition in the Ghana national team now is becoming very strong.Dede Ayew of marseille,Kevin prince boateng and Hans adu sarpei were all not invited at all for the Sudan match in Omdurman.Ghana won 2-0 in Sudan

Is Samson the one playing and lost more than 5 chances in the 1st half? Time to win and a time to lose. God bless Nigeria.

SO SAD THAT SUPER EAGLES ARE NOT GOING FOR THE NATIONS CUP,AND IF THEY ARE GOING,WHAT WILL THEY BRING.IS IT NOT BETTER THEY SHOW THERE WEAKNESS NOW THAN TO BRING SHAME AND HEART ATTACK FOR NIGERIA.UPON THE MONEY THE MAKE IN THERE VARIOUS AND RESPECTIVE TEAMS,THEY STILL BEHAVE AS IF THEY ARE NOT PROFESIONALS.WITHOUT COACH THERES NO TEAM AND WITHOUT TEAM THERE WILL BE NO COACH.SIASIA WILL NOT BE BLAME,YOU SHOULD BLAME THE PLAYERS FOR THERE MISFOURTUNE AND PRIDE.THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT EVERY OTHER THINGS BEHIND AND SERVE THERE COUNTRY,OOK AT SPAIN FOR INSTANCE.SAMSON SIASIA IS ONE OF THE PLAYERS THAT MAKE THE COUNTRY PROUD,HE IS THE PERSON INSIDE AND KNOWS THE PLAYERS MUCH BETTER THAN YOU AND I,GIVE A CHANCE AND I BEILIVE HE WILL MAKE IT MUCH BETTER THAN NOW.ALWAYS REMEMBER,LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES AND MAKE CORRECTIONS.
