The same reason the money bags go there for medical checkups... And like someone said, a citizenship sake...all is due to d sorry state of the economy...an american would not go to extreme lengths to travel to UK for delivery....

The only reason why this is done is just for the sake of citizenship. I for one buy the idea and wil do same if i were them. The best thing my parents did for me was for them to have giving birth to me far away from nigeria. @poster tel me if u won't want to give ur unborn kids a better life out of our dear nigeria that has been filtrated by corrupt leaders

I think all the Embassies in Nigeria should not grant Visas to pregnant women that are less than 5 months away to giving birth. Our politicians are bunch of heartless bastards

MAJORITY OF THE REACH PEOPLE RUNING TO USA AND UK TO GIVE BIRTH ARE THE SAME SET OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE CRIPLED NIGERIA ECONOMY FOR THEIR SELFISH AIM. THEY ARE DOING IT TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF THEIR CHILDREN BUT A TIME WILL COME WHEN NIGERIA WILL ACTUALLY CHANGE FOR GOOD. I'M STILL PROUD TO BE A NIGERIAN DESPITE THAT I'M HAVING DUAL NATIONALITY.

Simply for citizenship sake. No more no less. So if you too have the money go ahead and prepare a good life and prosperity for your children. Dual citizenship is oder of the day.....My family has got it.

A. Quality medical care + Good insurance for both mum and new kid. B. Ability to secure dual citizenship to avoid unnecessary embarrassment from all this consulates. In case when the child will grow up and wants to travel around the world.
is not that we don't ave good hospitals and good hands, But there is different between O and Q

The nail has been hit on its head all that they've contributed. In addition their children has a better chance to run the country as did President Barack Husein Obama today. This is an added advantage if they were born here in the USA which an American Ambassador children might not be qualified if born in the country they were serving.

is not because we dont have the facilities or good hospital to deliver our babies but because of citizenship of that country. for most of you who have been to US or the Uk you wouldnt understand the importance... For example i know of a Nigerian who is over qualify for different jobs but the last question they always ask him during the interview is are u a US citizen or permanent resident ? his answer is NO and their response is " I am Sorry we can not give you the job" .
