Cocaine smuggling politician arrested By Okechukwu Nnodim
An Edo State House of Assembly 2011 aspirant, Eme Zuru Ayortor, 52, has been apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for attempting to smuggle 2.12kg cocaine in his stomach.
The suspect, who is a pharmacist, was nabbed at the screening area for passengers at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, while trying to board a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.
Mitchell Ofoyeju, spokesperson for the anti-narcotics agency, disclosed that the politician is one of the high profile suspects nabbed by the NDLEA at the airport in recent times.
“After undergoing observation, the pharmacist-turned-politician excreted 100 pieces of powdery substance that tested positive to cocaine, weighing 2.12kg. The quantity also makes him the highest drug ingesting suspect since January 2010,” he said.

it is quite unfortunate for our country when our representative are drug adict and smuggler, is not surpricing why they fight everyday in the federal house i wonder what footstep they have to live on the ground of time.

Don't be stereotype this can happen to any other ethnic tribe be it Igbo,Yeruba,Hausa,Calabar,Fulani and so on. The issue is that the old man is too old to practice such a crime.I wonder what he will advice the youths if they managed to ask for his candid advice over such habit and practice. I am highly disappointed.

Damn...It's quiet disappointing...what a public disgrace! It's a very wrong thing attribute such act to the pple of Edo. It cut across all state in naija. Is just that they're too smart to be caught like this old fool. Where do you think most of these politicians earned their money from b4 jumping into politics?...sure it's from dirty biz like this. They're making a lot of dough from it...most other coc pushers know their ways{settling top security&NDLEA personels}and as such becomes too secured to be xposed or caught. Let him be dealt with accordingly...the law courts must deal with him to teach others lesson. I here by oder that he's given "52 HOT STROKES" b4 proceeding to court...not matter of laughter...i'm serious...shameless old sucker@52. E...l...m...u....m....e....e...n
