i read in the guardian some weeks back about HITV planing to force viewing center owners to pay as high as 20k per month for a single subscription.i dint take it serious until i read complete sports of saturday where they said they would close down any viewing center dat fail to pay the 20k.

why should a company like HITV(so called proudly nigeria)force dat on viewing center owners who struggled to buy decorders, buy chairs,TVs,rent land etc to pay 20k for a single subscription(not even dual view)?

for your information,am not in to the business but i watch most matches at viewing centers(even though i have one at home,i see fun in it watching wit pals)and i know dat some of these people doing this business are doin it to make end meet.

viewing centers have generated nothing less than 20,000 jobs in nigeria today(i stand to be corrected) and have been directly and indirectly feeding over 500,000 nigerians and that has also help in reducing crime and joblessness
if HITV now go ahead with its plans, what happens to those who dont make much in this business?i was thinkin now that they have UCL at thier disposal, they would introduce dual decorders but they dint do that, they are busy lookin for viewing centers to close down.

HITV should please not try it oooo and if they try is sha ,make them no reach my area oooo cos we are already planing to attack them.

they should start planing how to win the next bidding of EPL in november and leave us to enjoy how football and if they want trouble we shall give them in double

mr tony shubair, u be nigerian ooooo think twice before you take that dirty step or else you would regret ever doing it.

Becuase they are reepin from other peoples sweat.
You guys keep screeming Nigeria is Bad and yet you are the one's making it worse. How can some1 earn from another persons bizznes. HITV that you mention pay huge amount of money to bring this championships to peoples home, Only for some1 to use it as a view centre to make earnings from it.

At Temmytanny...... How would you feel when some1 use ur own bizzness for free and earn from it???

Is even very fair that they never asked them to stop or close down those view centres, but so as to regulate it and make it an avenue for job seekers.

U can call it a viewing tax or regulatory fee.

Tv is not free, We pay a yearly tax even for public Tv stations.

Who pushed them to go biding if its clear they cant run it on subscription flat rate for  both home veiwing and viewing centers.you see we are talking about rebranding the country while some people are stripping it of the little brand we've got. HITV should note that  Dstv ain't dead yet. Cos we'll help them in biding.

I wonder how some people reason....

It is clear that we Nigerians prefer making money from other peoples bussiness. When you want to subscribe to any saterlite or cable network, they have do's and dont which most be respected. DSTV u guys talk about have been in Nigeria for long yet they dont have interest on trasmiting our local league...

Asking Viewing centers to pay a little fee in other to trasmite matches to those who cant afford cable, is a way of regulating and creating oppotunities for private individuals..... Like i said before; We pay tax even for public Tv stations...

EFCC will soon be running after HITV. THERE think it will be possible to exploit nigerians, it is a lie shame....
Are the operators not paying them for their monthly subscription? time will tell what becomes of fraudulent bussiness in naija.

This only affects viewing centers in Nigeria. Well all I can say is that, they should know that other competitors will beat them to the consumers very soon. I hope they dont try that!

its painful to no that nothing in nigeria work in a legal way, i strongly take side with hitv, who can also in the other hand see it as oppotunity and reorganized those view center in a deceint mature and well organized way also there by creating more jobs in the sector than now,how can this country move foward when all we do is to frustrate any idea one wants to import to nigeria as a home .may god help us.

HITV should not do that 'cos they should be through Nigerian and make Nigerians proud,
