Doctorate Degree Student Stabbed To Death

Mr John Tor Viha Gber, a doctorate degree student of Benue State University has been allegedly stabbed to death by Mr Akaa.


 
Narrating what led to the incident in Makurdi, Benue State, northcentral Nigeria, Miss Janet Gber, younger sister to the deceased revealed that her brother was stabbed by Mr. Akaa, who lives opposite the deceased’s family house.

 
We learnt that the incident occurred at about 10a.m. Tuesday at the deceased family house in a suburb popularly known as Logo One in Makurdi.
 
Janet said that the incident happened when Akaa came into the late John’s compound and claimed that Mr. Gber, father of the deceased had sent him to pick a motor spare part from the house.
 
According to Janet, her brother did not believe the story because there was no prior information that Akaa should come and pick something from the house.
 
She further narrated that when her brother prevented Akaa from entering their compound, he became infuriated and a serious disagreement ensued.
 


Janet revealed further that one of their neighbours, who she said came and sought to know what was the problem asked the late John for explanation.
 
In the course of the explanation, Akaa allegedly stabbed John with a knife and he collapsed and died few minutes after.
 
When contacted the Benue State Police Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Alaribe Ejike confirmed the incident, and added that the suspect has been arrested and will soon be charged to court.

his mission was to kill someone in that compound. if not, he wouldn't have had an argument or quarrel with the decease for refusing him into their compound..
