About me

The real name is Osamede Egbenusi Mavis, but stage name is BLACK IQ. Born on October 11th into a family of eight, three boys and five girls and am the last of child. I was brought up in the ancient city of Benin which is the cradle of black civilization. I attended Iyobosa primary sch, Edokpolor grammar sch, springfield high sch and alpha international group of sch but got my secondary sch certificate in Ezomo college all in Benin city. I graduated from Auchi polytechnic from urban and regional planning department in 2005. My musical career started in 2003 cos that was my first time to record a single and I started as a group known as soldier squad we were 2 in numbers. In 2004 we melted to become machievelian soldierz under an umbrella called Dis Back Entertainment, in machievelian soldierz we were large in numbers but as a crew not a group cos we were all solo artist. For now the already known members of machievelians are Black iq (Bini Boy), Jaywon of kenis music and Slizzy E (Edo Boy). In 2006 I droped my first single tittled OLODO as a solo artist and it gained a very huge air play in Benin city to the extent dat it was even barn by the Government cos it was against them. In 2007 I won the benson and hedges rhythm council competition and daucan mighty took 4th position. Psquare won the first edition in 2003 and I won the second edition in 2007. Am a studio engineer, a song writer and a vocalist. My best colour is common flag, green, my best food is starch and banga. When am busy it means am doing music and in my leisure I do music which make music my hubby. A little aside music is playing games (play station soccer). My role models are those that came into music for more dan five years ago and are still consistent till date. Peace be unto you that read this and I need your support in all ways .
