kwek asare is Journalist with many years of practice and a Communications Specialist currently in charge of Media at Vodafone Ghana. He graduated in 1992 from a Journalism School. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Arts Degree at the University of Ghana, in Legon. He until recently was the head of the Business Desk of the GHANA NEWS AGENCY. He has represented the Agency in many countries as a correspondent attending major events such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund Annual Spring Meetings in Washington and Singapore, Spain, Burkina Faso, Cote dʼ;;Ivoire. He has also represented GNA in the United Kingdom and United States. He is author of many papers and articles for major publications including Business and Financial Times, Daily Graphic, Ghanadot.com, a US based internet magazine, Ghanaian Times and has his works published in numerous local and foreign publications. He has conducted exclusive face-to-face interviews with dozens of personalities, including Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, current Liberian President, Mr. Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General, Mr. Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, President of Sudan, Mr. Jeffrey Sachs, an International Economist, Mr. Trevor Manuel, South African Finance Minister, and Mr. Jose Manuel Barroso, the Head of the European Commission. Gideon currently is Assistant Manager at Ghana Telecommunications Company, where he is in charge of Media Relations at the Corporate Communications Department.
