O TOWN ENTERTAINMENT WORLD WIDE, a Niger Delta based music production outfit/record label with her corporate head office in Port Harcourt recently unveiled her first musical artiste J Flex an Urban Highlife/ Afro hiphop artiste. J Flex whose real name is Innocent Wene Azubuike is a Niger delta born songwriter, singer/performer and vocalist who has been in the music industry for about a while. He has worked with many notable artistes in the Nigerian Music industry in different capacities. He has also played with many live music bands. J Flex was the lead back up vocalist of Nigerian International musician Duncan Mighty.
O TOWN ENTERTAINMENT is owned by a Niger Delta born entrepreneur, Mr. Omodu Jack West Worlu a successful business man who himself is not new to the music/entertainment terrain. Mr. Omodu Jack West Worlu popularly called Western by his close friends owns one of the favorite hangout spots in the city of Port Harcourt simply called “WESTERN KORNERS” a business conglomerate that comprises of a world class exotic barbers shop, a snooker lounge, Karaoke/Sports bar and a functional digital music recording studio. The label executive boss is also the publisher of Garden City Magazine, a bi-monthly magazine that showcases entertainment news,health, events, politics,entertainment, fashion and lifestyle, he was also the Brand Manager of Duncan Mighty at various intervals. Western also worked with Julius Agwu and several Nigeria celebrities.
He happens to be the son of one of Niger Delta’s legendary highlife music crooner, Prince. Jack-West Omodu Snr (Late) who until death was the Treasurer of PMAN Rivers State and founder/leader of the famous “Garden City International Band”. A band that released many evergreen songs in the native Ikwerre dialect (a major tribe in Rivers State), and ruled the entertainment industry in the 70’s, 80’s and up to late 90’s. The band also performed professionally alongside many great musicians such as Fela AnikulapoKuti, King Sunny Ade, David Bull and The Seagulls Dance Band, Oriental Brothers, King Sunny Brown, Ebenezer Obe, Cardinal Rex Jim Lawson etc...
J Flex was officially unveiled before many key players in the entertainment industry including Mr. Kester Buzugbe, a veteran broadcaster/media mogul who has personally discovered and supported many young talented musicians within and outside Port Harcourt City and the Niger Delta. Among them are Burna Boy, Mr. 2Kay, Buckwild, Duncan Mighty, Phyno, Frank D' Nero, M Thrill, Mr. 2kay just to mention a few.
The artist J Flex after he was unveiled thanked his label boss for the privilege and promised to do everything within his reach to ensure a good working relationship with the label. He also told his fans to get set for a fun filled music bumper ride because he is ready to put out hit music back to back that will guarantee party after party. The CEO of the label Mr. Jack West Omodu hinted that the label is ready to release the first single from J Flex on the 4th of July 2020.
The single track is titled “Roll About”
produced by in-house producer Chymes on the beat, a graduate of petroleum engineering from Rivers State University, mixed and mastered by legendary sound engineer Dan Jiggy.
“Roll About” will be available on all digital music stores nationwide on 4th July 2020.
