Ashaye Olayinka popularly known by his stage name Ykiss, is a Nigarian born Afro Pop and Hip-hop singer and songwriter. Early life and education Ykiss was born in Kosofe local government area in Lagos. He is an origin of Ogun state, Nigeria. He earned his primary and secondary school in Lagos and his polytechnic education in Ibadan. Music career Ykiss started singing as a teenager from his JSS1 class in Ojota secondary school, Lagos. He became a backup singer in the church choir. In 2008 he recorded his first track ' Kulowo' produce by Ben-Smith. He adopted STO in Lagos as his recording production company which earned him the release of his second single and video ' Let them say' in 2013 which gained significant air-plays.
