About me

My name is philip leonard. Some call me The P. Others might just vaguely recall a guy who used to tutor calculus. A very few might remember some guy with a nice hair who used to play on the College Bowl team (it's like Jeopardy with teams). In any event, that's me. I love to read. I read books like other people watch TV. I'm also into the arts. I enjoy musicals and plays. I remember when I saw a Cirque de Soleil show in Vegas, it was great! I also love to sing, I just wish I was better at it. When you sing you communicate thoughts and feelings that just don't fit well into words. I'm not a performer, I mostly sing to God. It's a different form of worship. Occasionally I might sing for a lady. One other thing I have a passion for is education. I have 3 college degrees already and I'm on my 4th. It's not that I'm a professional student, I just love to learn new things and I've found academia is the best place for that. I love being able to talk to people who know the most in the world about a subject. I suppose one of these days they'll go ahead and give me my PhD and I'll move into the ranks of professors. The hard thing about being a PhD is that most people expect you to have all the answers. As a student it's easier to say you don't know and get someone else to help you learn. I've been told I ask too many questions. More times than I can count my downfall has been my desire to understand how something works. I have to know things here and want to meet a real woman.
