Adeleke Sodiq Adewale, better known to many by his stage name, Soq Da Finest was born Sep 19th 1980s, in Isheri, Lagos State. Soq Da Finest is the cousins of Olamilekan Yusuf aka Lekxy who is the Co-CEO of the extremely successful independent hip hop label, Foresight Entertainment located in the Johannesburg, South Africa and Lagos, Nigeria. And is manager Oluwasegun Shogbola known as '' Shogbo'!
( SOQ da FINEST also known for his versatility, proverbial lyrics and unique style started his singing and writing career at the age of twelve. Justifiable tagged “the hit maker”, Soq conveys with his music, a new ethnic flavor and eclectic style that is uniquely his.
Years of studying the industry and refining his skills, has helped him develop his musical ideology and style. His powerful use of the Yoruba and English Language and his lyrical abilities sets him apart from most artists in his genre and in his opinion.
This unique style, evident on all of his song some of which include his hit song Party Time, If you don't Know, You too Dey Lie, Jombo, This kind Gbedu. as well as on collaborations like the song ‘Ekule’ a hit track he did with Bariga 2ice, and Jekomo, which he did with Ashy, often leaves many listeners astonished at the magic of the delivery and the rhythmic harmony.
He is working hard to build a solid, outstanding body of work that hopefully will outlive him. He aims in all ways to become a reference point for Nigerian artistes anywhere. Reminiscent of the likes of Fela, 9ice and 2face, he hopes to someday become a ambassador with his music style. He believes consistency, originality as well as old-fashioned hard work are the keys to achieving all these.
Soq Da Finest is without a doubt leaving his mark in the Afro hip-hop circle and worldwide. He currently as a Single, African Girls Feature SABI and Mr Checkmate to his name and is currently working on another Single called ''AM VERY HAPPY and his album titled “Show me D Way”.
