GUOSA IS A LANGUAGE FOR UNITY AND IDENTITY

Mr. Alex G. Igbineweka was born, raised and educated in Nigeria and worked as a civilian for the Nigerian Army (Supply & Transport Directorate) Apapa-Lagos, the Nigerian Naval Base also in Apapa; and Osunbade Okiti & Co. (Chartered Accountants). He then moved on to work for the Nigerian Television Authority Headquarters, Victoria Island Lagos where excelled in journalism administration until 1996, when he moved to the United States of America for further studies and linguistic research. From a tender age he recognized the need for an indigenous universal language (lingua franca) for his homeland and surrounding areas in West Africa and began his life long pursuit by the evolution of what we now know as The Guosa Language. There are currently close to 400 indigenous languages and dialects being spoken in Nigeria; about twice this number in other West African countries. Many of these languages are becoming extinct as time goes on. It was over 20 years ago that Mr. Igbineweka completed the very first Dictionary of the Guosa Language. With this second and more comprehensive edition published in 2007; it is the vision and passion of the evolutionist that the adoption of the Guosa Language will be embraced by the multi-ethnic and cultural fabrics known as the country of Nigeria and other West African countries. Thus the Guosa Language, like the Swahili in the East Africa will bridge the linguistic and cultural barriers among Nigerians, the West African Regional countries and the rest of the world. The Guosa Language is in dire need of your research supports, donations and grant.
