RYMZO: REGGAE/DUB/DANCEHALL KING OF NAIJA
Rymzo was born in the 70's in Lagos State. His interest in music started from watching his mom a famous choir conductress with church of God mission. He developed an interest in drumming which got him closer to the big stage and his 'ignition spark' went off when he stumbled upon Uroy's Go dey Natty.
Hooked on Uroy's style and building on inspiration from other artistes such as Iroy, Bob Marley, Mighty Diamonds, Leutinant Stitchie, Smiley Culture, Shabba
Ranks,iI'roy,Delinger, Cocoa Tea, Peter Tosh, Tiger,Papa San,tenor saw, nitty gritty, Jacob Miller, Fela Kuti, Jimi Hendrix, Bounty Killer and Capleton he went on to become lead singer/ vocalist under stage name Koolrymes as part of Vintage resident band at the Live Music Cafe going on to win the B&H 1st grab da mic band contest in the south south region of Nigeria.
Now one of Nigeria's top reggae artists and a music producer who has worked the stage and produced many radio commercials and media station ID's. He has also worked with top artistes Tunde and Wunmi Obe, Segun Obe, Kefee,Goldie, Sunny Neji, Muma gee, Sammy Okposo, Charly boy, Sound Sultan, Lady D, Orits Wiliki, Ras Kimono, Felix Duke, Plus One,Da tribe which included Sasha P, Dr sid, 2shot, Kb etc,ruggedman, nomoreloss, mamuzee, Maye hunter, Oritshe Femi and Da Grin, omotola (omo sexy) etc
Rymzo released his debut album "Take mediocre off the stage" in 2005 with hit single "Rock n Roll", his second album "Mysterious" followed in 2006.

Rymzo is due to release his third much awaited album 'Salute Jah' packed full of a delicious mix of tracks which seize upon Nigerian culture, show off his hiphop rap skills and solidify his reggae stylistics with tracks Salute Jah with Tuface Idibia, Soundbwoy killer with Cocoa Tea, No class with Villa Dutch, Green white Green with Ras Kimono, and 100 Degrees.
Rymzo is a very focussed, organised, laid back, intellectual and talented youth, artiste, role model and inspiration to many and his philosophy is based on his beleif in the love of Most high Jah for divine inspiration, through signs daily blessings and his strong foothold in retention of roots and culture. His mission in life is to continue to give, show and spread love and the promulgation of good over evil
