Ebi Abhulimen was born to Nigerian parents and brought up in a Christian home, was nick named “Dowty” by his mum due to his skeptical attitude "until proof is shown" like doubting Thomas in the Bible. He was already having problems with his dad when he started music at the age of 15," so i got to hustle on my own” in which he was very proud of.

Dowty faced a dilemma in finding the right balance between music, soccer, school and making money. but due to his soccer skills, he was signed professionally by a German second division club at the age of 17 unfortunately his professional soccer career was cut short due to constant injuries.

So he went back to school and at the same time managing his own business (cyber cafe), It was when he met an old friend (Juan Carlos "Quid pro quo”) that he made music his priority. They formed a band called 2onALL which was expanded months later with a female voice (Fineza Marlene "Marlenediva").

Dowty embraced the struggle " there was no other way” He played the roll of a father in the house since the age of 16 due to the separation of his parents, having under his care a junior sister and a brother.

In 2005 Dowty released his first solo demo/mixTape (from dust to don) which was downloaded thru myspace and some other sites and hits more than 15,000 free downloads worldwide, In 2006 another demo/mixTape was released (from zero to hero) which was a big bang more than 25,000 download thru internet and sold up to 10,000 copies on his concerts and show cases worldwide.

Dowty has done live shows in many places like: Hard rock cafe, Disco Anubis, Sala Wind, Lokua club, Bash line, Disco Klaus, Disco -remix-, Rincon Latino, Chillouteteria, The Bourbon cafe, Sweet club, El kimbara, musical pub Diodon, Hotel parador 5sTars, Pub Raices, Keep club, Kache club, Film factory, The light, Velvet club, Albaraca, Chesterfield, Sur music, Sala new, Palacio gavira, Kapital club, La sal, Pacha madrid, Joy, Comedia, Blazing fire, Hotel auditorium 4sTars, New garamond, Ak bar, Fnac, Pais vascos day, Egypt day (Egypt embassy Madrid), Nigeria’s day (Nigeria embassy Madrid), Angola’s day (Angola’s embassy Paris), Women’s day Madrid, Asoc - Alba, Tsunami Org and In countries like Taiwan, Morocco, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Angola, Egypt, England, He has toured Spain twice and was a special guest in Euro Basket 2007.

Dowty is well known and recognised by underground and some main stream artists in the music industry. This has lead to collaborations with artist from all kind and genres like Africa lisanga, MarCusslaves, Cartel hispano, Nery, Juanito, Joyce, Jay E, Mc leviT, Jay smoove, Jean honeymoon, Loo grant, Smack town, Armel, Costello, Dj reda, Lhains, Dj spicher, Dj Tai, Kheops, Black city, Babby dogg, Dj kapo, Smooth, Klas6k, Granada doaba, Zhello, Exodo, D union (dowty’s band) and was featured by Marlene Diva in the official Spanish version of Alicia keys - no one (Nadie remix) and he has open shows for artist like Dj cut killer and Alicia keys.

Dowty Ebi’s debut album “Bad times” (the chronicles part 1) was released in April 2009 and he album Hits the Billboard chart 200 on the 12th of May 2009. “The best is not yet shown”

the prodigal son will soon be back home to give some good music for good music lovers
