Any significant recorded history about the west African region and people dates back to only a few centuries. I mean, Africa have one of the earliest forms of writing- the egyptian Hieroglyphs, but we still have no record of our history. The only things we have to rely on is just this ' oral tradition' which even makes things more confusing. No monuments, no nothing. Even the few artifacts we have only says little about us. I wonder what that says about our ancestors.
