I'm in a bit of a situation here and i need an advice. I've been in a r/ship for close to 3 years. I'm 23 and he's 29. He's working with a nice company and is very comfortable financially. I'm in my final year and hopefully i'll be married next year. My boyfriend and i agreed to no sex before we started dating & we were able to strictly adhere to it until 3 months ago. What happened was, he traveled abroad for a training and i dint see him for 8 months. He came back 3 months ago and i guess emotions ran a bit high that night after not seeing each other for 8 months. So we did it. That was the first & last time we had sex in our 3 year r/ship. Unfortunately, i'm pregnant. I was so devastated when i found out. Right from when i was small, my parents always ring it into my ear that i have 2 sisters looking up to me so i better be of good example. Getting pregnant out of wedlock is definitely not good example. Now here is the problem, i confided in my best friend that i plan to get rid of it because i know my boyfriend, he'll never let me do it. He doesn't support abortion. In fact he even hates to hear about it. Me i can't face my parents. She had been trying to talk me out of it because she knows someone who did an abortion and died. You know what she did, she called and told him about the pregnancy and my plans. He has asked me to pick a date when his family can come and meet mine so we can get married. I've tried to explain that my parents are strict & they'll make life miserable for me. He says if it means him lying in the mud in the street to beg their forgiveness, he will do it but i should not dare kill his baby. That he's old enough to be a father and he won't have me endanger my life because i'm too precious to him. Now he has threatened me that if i terminate it, i might as well forget about him. I was thinking of doing it and telling him i've had a miscarriage. I'm too scared of my parents abeg. My father most especially. What can i do to make him understand? I need counsel right now more than ever.
