I'm a christian single woman and in this time of singleness my faith is really being tried. We all know the devil doesn't have any new tricks. There was a place I worked for 6 years in the IT field and the place was male dominated. I became friends with many of them (sister/brother type relationship). Since that time I've had to cut off most of the friendships because the married ones with marital problems decided to pursue me. Then I have one friend (now ex-friend) that marries then wants to tells me how he always had desired me. What is this? Today, I spoke with another old friend who looked me up on ***** . He is now married but says he's unhappy and ready to quit. I tried to encourage him. But this seems like a repeat of the past. I don't want him to use his so called martial problems to try to get close to me. My gift from God is to be a good listener and encourager but the devil tries to turn it into perversion. I hope this isn't the case with this guy. I hope he isn't contacting me because he likes me. I would hate to break off another friendship. Even this past weekend I met a guy that I thought was single then I saw him and his wife yesterday. He was staring at me and even tried to talk to me. What is this? I want my own husband not someone elses. Its frustrating. I know that I'm being tested.
