Three days to the Nigerian Independence day-1st of October,Producer/Rap artiste Ollydave alongside Spoken word/writer Dro Ameh put out a mixtape for downlaod free.The mixtape titled ‘The Take Down’ is to serve as a prelude/preview to their individual albums.The individual albums from Ollydave and Dro are titled ‘The Take Off’ and ‘Hnic: Volume One’ respectively.While Ollydave would be staying true to original, true to versatility on ‘The Take Off’ album blending the rap with the African comtemporary sounds to inspire,inform and dance to like the ‘I’m fly’ song on the mixtape .Dro Ameh on the other end would be sampling and voicing over beats with a feel of the three major languages in Nigeria,smoothing,melodious and depth defines the album that is 50% complete.’The take down’ mixtape features more of ollydave as an attempt to get an average audience to listen to spoken word that relatively might be considered a new sound .
“The Take Down†is getting major props everywhere. Dro And Ollydave mix and blend straight bangerz through out the whole mixtape, with track after track of the hottest hip hop today with ‘play me for a fool’ from Dro mellow enough to water down the energy that characterizes the music from ollydave .
