RaggaRemi 'TRUE BORN NAIJA_EP'
Raggaremi, born in lagos Nigeria, Raggaremi started his entertainment career at a very early stage of his formative years, he had extensive coaching in stage plays and drama in his days at maylower Junior School, Ogun State Nigeria.
Whilst at secondary school, Raggaremi made a switch from the theatre into music, He says "I was greatly influnced by the vibration of reggae music, also Port Hacourt City shaped my views as to what kind of music I wanted to do". As a junior student at F G C Port- Hacourt, he and a group of friends formed a reggae club and he was the" Roots bag".
To Raggaremi "music has always been what gave me satisfaction and i like to sing about so many things".
After completing a degree in Political Science at the Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University, he moved to the United Kingdom, before leaving Raggaremi recorded his first Album in 1994 at the Harry Mosco Studio, but due to to the lack of proper foundation in the nigeria music industry the album did not see the light of the day. However, he continued to record at every giving opportunity, no wonder he has managed to compile a good number of songs that could go in to a five album project. Raggaremi"s first major hit is TRUE BORN NIAJA, " a very deep patriotic song with concious lyrical content" , is what this soft spoken, easy going, Naija centrik guy calls it.
At the back of the success of the song, which was aptly complimented with a nice video, Raggaremi has graced many quality shows in Uk and in Nigeria.
He was recently on tour with 2face Idibia at the MTN extra cool six State tour across nigeria , and he has not looked back since then, He dropped a debut album in the UK in july 2008, and he is currently working on the full album, compilation titled KONKRETE FOUNDATION, this album is so titled because he feels that the foundations of the nigerian music industry is in the hands of young passionate and technical minded individuals who are always ready to take things to another level and just like them, he plans to take his music to limitless level, Raggaremi"s Uk debut album is being distributed by BUDABLESS RECORDS.
