Ugonma is a beautiful woman in Igbondu kingdom. When her husband died; almost all the men in the kingdom sought her hand in marriage. She turns down their request. Incensed by her refusal, they plot her down fall. Then she’s accused of identifying the man behind a masquerade which is a serious crime in Igbo land. The conspirators decide her punishment will be death.
