Moving on is an International Collaborative work that began in Lagos, Nigeria with Emmanuel Essien aka Big Mannie who approached his label boss Ray Ramon with a new song and lyric idea. Jenni Ramon worked her magic spin on the lyrics bringing it alive. Asked to describe the general theme of the song, co-writer Jenni describes it as “a story of a young man dealing with a break up referencing “My ex was just a heart attack, I can never take her back”. To clear his head the young man heads out for the night in the club with his mates when unexpectedly his eye catches the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen and instantly a mutual attraction is present referencing “Then I saw your face looking like the real deal”. Jenni further says “Moving on” could leave the listener(s) to interpret the night as a single night full of lust and love or a couple who form an everlasting relationship together.
