Lamili Engel(born Lilian Ojiudu in the early 1980s at Onitsha in Anambra State) is a Port Harcourt based Songwriter, Singer and Performer. Raised in the suburbs of Onitsha, and Ghana as well. Lami’s love for music started at a very early age and grew as she got older. She’s the first of 5 children. Parents Mr Basil & Mrs Edith Ojiudu were also supportive. Lami started music professionally in 2002 with Nick and The Safari band and later moved on with King Sunny Brown Jazz band. Her first album was recorded sometime in 2007. She later got signed to Grafton Records where she got the opportunity to work with Hip hop artist M-Trill Teria on a song titled Crazy Love. Recently, Lami recorded a hit song titled Ndidi (a dedication to her mother and her late Grand father). Ndidi is currently receiving massive airplay in Port Harcourt and around its environs. Lami’s musical influences includes Onyeka Owenu and Tracy Chapman. She believes her style of music is original and will definitely get a wider appeal out there.
