Police Arrest Five Suspected Rap!sts For Defiling Six Minors In Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended five suspected rapists for allegedly defiling six minors aged between 4 and 14, according to a statement by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Shehu Nadada.

The suspects, paraded alongside 28 others at the Police Headquarters on Thursday, May 9, 2024, were arrested for various cases of rape and segxwal assault. CP Nadada revealed that the arrests were made following complaints lodged at different police divisions across the state.

One of the suspects, Adamu Ishaku, allegedly lured a 5-year-old child into his room and defiled her on March 19, 2024. Another suspect, Saviour Kingdom, was arrested for defiling a 4-year-old child on March 18, 2024.

Ibrahim Dahiru was arrested on April 20, 2024, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 7-year-old child, while Victor Jonathan, aka Korea, allegedly defiled two minors aged 13 and 14. Stephen Arigu Namo was arrested for molesting a 17-year-old girl under the guise of delivering her from a spiritual problem.

The police commissioner assured that the suspects will face justice and urged parents and guardians to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent such incidents. The police are working to ensure the safety and protection of children in the state.
