This issue has probably been the most common misconception about diabetes. If you have diabetes, you do need to watch your sugar and carbohydrate intake to properly manage your blood sugar level with the help of your Registered Dietitian. However, if you do not have diabetes, sugar intake will not cause diabetes. So far, a diet high in calories, being overweight, and an inactive lifestyle are the main risk factors for Type 2 diabetes.

So Imma gonna say in summary 'Sugar does not cause diabetes'.   Tks

Professionally speaking sugar does not cause diabetes, even excessive intake of sugar. Is all about your body mechanism. This has being a misconception about sugar and diabetes. The question is how effective and functional is your Kidney? Remember that diabetes is hereditary, which has to do with the gene. The campaign for intake of sugar is a measure of enlightenment to reduce the increase of sugar related cases, especially those that are prone to that. Remember also that anything excess is bad be it anything. I could remember a diabetic patient admitted, he was confirmed and later find out that the level of sugar in his body is low and immediately he was given sugary solvent to bring him back to life. In a nutshel, watch the level of your sugar intake and blood-sugar test medically periodically.
