Ulcer is now very rampant in Nigeria and d world at large bcos most pple (esp. young ones) now take o alot of snacks and fast foods like pizza, hamburger, and u name them. And u know wat this tins contain loits of acid i mean fatty acids which attacks d walls oif the stomach everytime they stay witout eating. an advice if u can stay away from fried foods and take more of fruits ur problem will be reduced. Abeg i no be doctor oh!!!!  so make una no ask me |

thats true now.......and if u do eat those kinda food,u gotta have lots of water to go down with so that ur body won't be heaty....coz heatiness causes these ulcers....

Well well well,People have different opinion about Ulcer,although some people can be right though.
well, from the mediical ANgle,ulcer can be definined as the bridge /damge to the Epithelial surface,could be in the stomach or in the 1st part of the small
intestine. caused by different things,say
1, Helicobacter pylori-its a type of Bacteria present in the pylorus of the Stomach,it invade the stomach epithelium causing damage which is the ulcer itself.
2, Hydrogen ion imbalance,i.e Excessive production in the stomach(less bicarbonate to counter its effect) leading to excoriation of the stomach epithelium leadsing to ulcer.
Thats why we use drugs like Omeprazole-which are hydrogen ion blockers and Mist mag. which act as bicarbonate to counter the effect of hydrogen ion.
