Godsson you forget one thing but you know this very well.
Although Obama sounds very good and i said this before hes a very good speaker, he is only ONE man in a big party.
I read every time look what this man is going to do for the blacks. But is he? He might have good intentions but the others may not.
Time will tell.

See all this nuclear free area's in the middle east is only designed to protect Israel who has nuclear weapons so they stay masters there.

HELGA
You are right.I've said it elsewhere that Obama is just one man,& a relative newcomer in the US internal power structure.Besides, the Congress still has overwhelming powers in domestic policies & the ratification of International Treaties. Thus, his hands may be tied. The Congress & other institutions in the US ve a way of frustrating Presidents.

Also, good intentions dont always win.Good intentions ve to be backed by capability. However,as U've rightly said,"time will tell"

You are also right about Israel & the Middle East. However,I'll ve to reiterate my stance against Iran's acquisition of Nukes. You cannot trust a state that is built on religious fundamentalism, extremism & traditionalism to handle such with the requisite rationality.

Nigeria is another country that does not need Nuclear Weapons. If we could not manage conventional bombs & allowed them to blow at Ikeja,I doubt how we can handle such delicate stuff.besides, some greedy men(who only think about their pockets) would sell a part to terrorist. The Nigeria of TODAY must not even think of it.

@zie

Believe me Nigeria is better of not having nuclear power or weapons before the government put its act together proper.

Just imagine when those towers are build and a short cut will be made here and there as it often happens in Africa the consequences would be disastrous for its people look for that just to Russia what happened over there.
Then you have the fact of storing the residue one of the major drawbacks of nuclear power as the residue will contaminate for years after.
Would it be stored proper?

Or just dumped like i saw when i was in Nigeria as its done with a lot of your oil. She will be ok mate attitude.
This problem faces every nation who has this power. First they try to ship it to yes you guessed it poorer nations as who bloody cares about there soil. Right?
Now for instance here in Australia they have this concrete covered area in the middle of the dessert to store that waist and the radioactive hospital waist as the ground cant flood or cant be unstable.

@godsson How does Nigeria store its hospital and industrial radioactive waist now?

@helga...i think they just let the bulk of it litter around...we dont have good advisors or ministers on such issues when...only a few individuals and factories who need these materials for reproduction get to gather and store them for future use...its what i think..i have to really find out
