Russia,Georgia crises.once again russia proves itself as the bad boy of world politics. in the past few days ,russia, south ossetia and georgia have been in the news and probably be so for the next coming days.georgia has touched the tiger by the tail by breaking the agreement they have part of which is not to settle any political conflicts with military force .now they are calling for help as they did not expect russia to respond as spontaneously as they did.trust russia

I still do not see how Russia is to blame for this crisis. The people of South Ossetia & Akhazia, like the people of Kosovo that the USA and NATO supported some years ago,ve the right to self-determination,that is recognized by international law. When it was Kosovo, nobody made any noise. So the world should shut up & let the Russian be.The US & NATo stated this whole problem. They cannot ignore Russia. No matter how much they pretend,Russia is the regional MILITARY POWER.So as long as NATO continue to fight to make former Soviet Republic(FSR)its members, thereby attempting to reducing Russia's influnce & power in that region, there is bound to be conflict. The Russian President Medvedev has already stated clearly that Russia is not afraid of a new Cold War.
The world is watching. And as students of History and International Relations,we must keep our fingers cross to see how trends turn.

i think this particular crisis which has come to an apparent end heralds a new cold war
with the territorial and political tension in europe being triggered.
this is what the united states wants, after triggerering this crisis .the eastern and western bloc is once again polarised.

ZIE!
Well said.It is the beginning of a new Cold War that has being in the cooking for sometime now.As Russia continues to look for ways to increase its power, while the EU & NATO try very hard to reduce it,there is bound to be conflict. And,in this New Cold War ll favour Africa in ways that are not clear yet.Let's continue to sleep in the theater of world dramas,we might see the opening scene b4 others.

The US & NATO is to blame. They are the ones that encouraged the Georgian President to think he can stand Russia with their help.

Yes i agree with you on that one.
I nearly shit myself when that stupid woman Palin said they would fight Russia if they needed to
as Georgia is backed by NATO and the USA.
Spare us of brainless people like that.
I hope she knows where Russia is

Palin is a dumb woman that attended 5 Universities to get 1 degree in journalism. She know close to nothing about foreign policy, that's why she made such stupid statements.Since the NATO was established,it has never applied Article 5(which is the provision that if a member is attacked, all members has being attacked & thus should fight to protect that member.)It was only used after 9/11.But how would Palin a Governor that does not have an international passport & have not Visited up to 20 states in the US,or a single foreign country, before the race, know all these?

When a country decide to put daft in power, this is what they would get.Mc Cain, like Bush graduated at the bottom of his class. He's always being a failure living under his father & grand father's name.Funny enough, they are all John Mc Cains.

Talking about propaganda, who is the leaders of propaganda in this whole race?Where is the propaganda in the report by the Alaska legislature that said she abused her power?Where is the propaganda in the VP debate against Biden that I saw with my own eyes, where she could not answer any question?Where is the propaganda in the truth that she does not have any concrete Foreign policy knowledge.Did u not see what a flop are meetings with those 5 foreign policy elites was? Where the press was barred from seeing her weakness. What is propaganda about the fact that she has never traveled out of the USA?Or the fact that she was not having an International Passport until she became Governor?Where is the propaganda when she called Obama a liar & friend of terrorists?

I may not be in the States, but I make it my duty to know what I want to know.I have nothing against Palin personally, but she's fake. The American society is to an extent free. The press is active. So those who have time for US politics read about it.

However, this is not about Obama or Mc Cain or Palin. It's about Foreign policy.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
