Was boarding school fun? Hell YEa!!!! of course dey were times when you vowed you'ld never come back to school only to go home and miss school afterwrds. I went to a COmmand and so the punishment dere was X2 in other schools. Dere were those adventures, running away from soldiers chasing us around to go and read. They were the rollcalls by seniors, the serious thrashings, the swearing and cursing the lives of the seniors (in private of course) those with the school fathers and school mums, those caught having sex etc. It waz hella crazy. You never know the importance and role your boarding school played on you till you leave. Then it dawns on you that these people werent your enemies per say but were only tryna make life a bteer place for you. So to all d day students out dere---sorry una miss plenty.....2 feloow boarders------we dey kampe. to prospective boarders ----- dnt b scared, if we did it u can. Ciao   |

Yes ooo! U are very right.. Boarding school really had effect on us all but we never know until we are out.. Even now as i am a graduate, sometimes i remember some scenes way back in secondary school, u wont believe i just feel like it repeating itself but God forbid bad thing it can never happen... My advice to boarders out there especially the Junior students, dont worry, one day u guys too will become seniors but Plz, even if u had encountered fagging and bullying in your time, u dont have to carry it out on other juniors coming in because we are all humans and someday your junior might be in the position to help u, like a yoruba proverb which interpretes as We are waters, we can flow to either east or west... I rest my case... Av a lovely day

Mine was an interesting and adventurous one, a painful one also. but an experience never to be forgotten.
Suffered alot because i had a cousin in the senior class who was always covering me.
Did anyone hear anything about "ENDLESS JOURNEY"? Have u been a victim of one?

I have lived outside my family allmost all my life...I attended Greater Tomorrow Secondary School in GRA, Benin City and i remember the first day i first went to d hostel in my JSS1. I cried all through out that day till nite.I made new friends & live began...With all d senior student that just think they can come to school withou money & food stuffs,they bullied me & collected all my stuffs...then i was seeing what life is....When i was now a senior,then i had to pay back to d younger student...lol..then proceeded into University of Benin & was also living in in an apartment off campus...I just couldnt stay @ home becos i was getting independent.
IF U WENT TO A BOARDING HOUSE,PLEASE GIVE US THE INFO & HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE???
Mine was a sorry story. No boarding house would take me eventually had to live with some boys of my age. |

my boarding school experience was fun.....typical example of school of hardknocks
GUESS i do not like it when i was in board cus i was just exposed to a way of life from room to class and from class back to room to the sport complex on and on like that too bad.. no social life |

Well I had my own bitter experience wen I was in SS1 Class, one faithful night. I was looking 4 my key. I was searching every nook and cranny 4 it , as obiomz was busy searching behind her bonk, the senior prefect and her girls entered our hostel and saw me behind the bonk, dey dragged me out and asked wot I was doing behind the bonk, I tried explaining but they wouldn't believe me. men, I received the beating of ma life dat day. after de beatings, as I was lying on d floor , the SP. poured water on me and the all stepped on ma back b4 leaving. wen they were gone , ma frnds took me to sick bay daz our school hospital. but the next day, I was transfered to the federal hospital for further treatment. I spent two weeks in the hospital. the stupid Head girl was expelled and her girls were all demote and with 1month suspension, but that was after they paid the hospital bills . MEN BOARDING SCHOOL IS NOT EASY AT ALLL MA PEOPLE
APART 4RM THAT,I ENJOYED MA STAY THE DORMITORY SHAH
