Toothpaste is capable of taking of mild and moderate acne. It contains some pretty complex chemicals that can dry out your skin. This is the reason some people who have sensitive skin cannot use toothpaste as an acne treatment. It helps by reducing the swelling or inflammation associated with acne.

It is however not a magic wand that would cause all your acne to disappear in a few minutes so you have to be patient and use other acne treatments.

Can you use any type of toothpaste?

No, you have to use one that has the lowest amount of fluoride. So before selecting any toothpaste, try to read reviews about the toothpastes that you come across and compare them.

How do you use it?
1. First select the toothpaste that is suitable.
2. Wash your face with a mild soap and pat your face dry.
3. Apply a small amount on your acne (pimples).
4. Leave it on for about 30 minutes - 1 hour, rinse off with lukewarm water.

WARNING: To prevent excess drying, do not apply overnight and do not use it everyday.
Those who have sensitive skin and desperately want to get rid of their acne should leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse off.
