Rumy Alqahtani, a 27-year-old model and content creator hailing from Riyadh, has been selected to represent Saudi Arabia in the upcoming Miss Universe 2024 pageant. Taking to her Instagram page, Alqahtani expressed her honor at the opportunity, marking Saudi Arabia's debut in the prestigious competition.

Having previously showcased her talents on various international platforms, Alqahtani brings a wealth of experience to the Miss Universe stage. Her participation in pageants such as Miss Asia in Malaysia, Miss Arab Peace, and Miss Europe underscores her dedication to representing her country on the global stage.

Alqahtani's accolades include titles like Miss Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Miss Arab World Peace 2021, and Miss Woman (Saudi Arabia), along with the esteemed title of Miss Saudi Arabia. With fluency in Arabic, French, and English, she holds a bachelor’s degree in dentistry, further enriching her diverse skill set.

Her selection marks a significant moment for Saudi Arabian representation in international pageantry, following in the footsteps of Lujane Yacoub, who represented Bahrain in the previous edition of Miss Universe.

Scheduled for September 28, 2024, the 73rd Miss Universe pageant will take place in Mexico, where reigning queen Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will pass on her crown to her successor.
