According to reports, police operatives intercepted the vehicle carrying passengers on May 8, 2024, around 4:30 p.m., leading to the arrest of Eze and the confiscation of incriminating items concealed within a bag of clothes.
SP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident in a statement released to the media. Edafe revealed, "The suspect was arrested alongside the exhibits."
Further details provided by Edafe shed light on the contents of the seized bag, disclosing, "Upon search of the vehicle and occupants, one Favour Eze, a 24-year-old male native of Amasiri Village in Afikpo L.G.A, Ebonyi State, was arrested in possession of one locally made pistol, hard drug suspected to be Loud, and human hair, all concealed in a bag of clothes."
Eze remains in custody as investigations into the matter continue, highlighting the Delta State Police Command's unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety and combating illicit activities within the state.
