Tragic End For Six-year-old Girl, Aisha Saidu As Suspected Kidnapper Confesses To Brutal Murder

In a harrowing incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a six-year-old girl named Aisha Saidu met a brutal end at the hands of a suspected kidnapper in the Makarfi local government area of Kaduna State.

The suspect, identified as Abdulazeez Idris, shocked authorities with his chilling confession, revealing that he mercilessly ended the young girl's life by slashing her neck with a razor blade after she recognized him. Subsequently, he callously disposed of her lifeless body in a nearby well.

The tragic events unfolded on February 12, 2024, when Aisha went missing while on her way to Islamiyya school. Her father, Mr. Saidu Dahiru, reported her disappearance to the Zaria City police station, detailing the abduction by her cousin brother, Abdulazeez Idris, who later demanded a staggering ransom of ₦8,000,000 for her release.

The case was swiftly transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of SCID Kaduna, where diligent efforts led to the apprehension of the perpetrator in Makarfi Local Government.

In response to the horrific crime, the Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Ali Dabigi, has assured the public of a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served for Aisha Saidu and her grieving family. The suspect, Abdulazeez Idris, will face legal proceedings once the investigation is concluded.

The tragic loss of young Aisha serves as a grim reminder of the ongoing challenges faced in combating kidnapping and violence against children in the region.
