A collision between a truck and a Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle at Ibafo bus-stop along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway resulted in chaos and injury on Saturday morning.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the accident occurred just before 6 am, causing significant damage and disruption. While officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Police were present, they deferred all inquiries to their respective Public Relations Officers.

Although details from authorities are limited, unconfirmed reports from bystanders suggest that several passengers aboard the BRT bus sustained injuries in the collision.

Eyewitnesses described the sequence of events, indicating that the BRT vehicle was stationary, loading passengers at the bus stop when the truck, transporting cows en route to Lagos, collided with it. The impact caused the BRT to veer off the road, damaging nearby shops and kiosks in the process.

In response to the incident, authorities towed the cow-laden truck away from the accident site to prevent further disruption to traffic flow along the expressway.
