The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the state.

The governor revealed this while commissioning the new Labour House in Edo state on Monday.

According to him, the new wage comes into effect on May 1st, 2024.

Good but he is merely setting up a booby trap for the next Governor; knowing too well that he won't be around to clean up the mess that'll come from it, if it does turn out that the state can't afford to pay them. Dubious Governor.

What a wicked governor he barely has less than few months in office and you are incredibly increasing  wages for workers. Why didn't you do it years back,  I don't know why people think that this fools mean well for ordinary Nigerians
