In a major operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a substantial quantity of illicit drugs concealed in ingenious ways. Approximately 5,000kg of skunk, a potent form of cannabis, was seized by NDLEA officers.

Femi Babafemi, the agency's Director of Media and Advocacy, took to social media to share footage of the interception. The video showcases the moment NDLEA officers uncovered the hidden contraband.

Babafemi, in his post, highlighted the resourcefulness of drug traffickers in devising concealment methods. However, he emphasized that the NDLEA remains steps ahead of them, as demonstrated by the successful interception.

The intercepted drugs were concealed within a gas tanker and suitcases equipped with false bottoms, illustrating the lengths to which traffickers go to evade detection.

This seizure underscores the ongoing efforts of the NDLEA to combat drug trafficking and protect communities from the harmful effects of illicit substances.
