In a sorrowful turn of events, Chief Obinna Atuonu, the organizing secretary of the Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has tragically passed away after collapsing during a church service.
The 65-year-old politician was addressing parishioners during the service in Aba when he suddenly collapsed, according to reports by The Nation. Efforts were made to rush him to the hospital, but sadly, he could not be revived.
Upon receiving the distressing news, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu, Chief Obinna Atuonu's only surviving brother, hurried from Umuahia to Aba. Upon arrival, he discovered the dire state of his brother's health and the tragic outcome.
As the news of Chief Obinna Atuonu's passing spreads, the APC community in Abia state mourns the loss of a dedicated member. His body has been deposited at the mortuary as arrangements for his final rites are underway.
