In a surprising turn of events, the purported in-laws of renowned actress and comedienne, Wofai Fada, have come forward to refute claims of any marriage between her and their son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole.

The actress had made headlines on May 4th after sharing photos and videos of what appeared to be an engagement ceremony with her mystery lover, expressing her happiness at finding her "happily ever after."

However, the Cole Family, representing Taiwo Olakitan Cole, has issued a public statement denying any knowledge of their son's purported marriage to the actress in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State.

In their statement, the Cole Family asserted that neither friends, acquaintances, nor family members were informed about or gave consent to the engagement. They emphasized that any claims of association with the Cole lineage through this alleged event are unauthorized and invalid.

The dispute surrounding the actress's alleged engagement has sparked intrigue and raised questions about the authenticity of the relationship, highlighting the complexities that can arise in matters of love and marriage within Nigerian celebrity circles.

As the controversy unfolds, both Wofai Fada and the Cole Family have yet to provide further clarification or address the conflicting narratives surrounding the supposed union, leaving the public to speculate on the true nature of the relationship.

The statement read:

Quote
“Images and videos come to our attention showing our son Taiwo getting married to a Wofai Ewa in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State. This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island Lagos are not aware of any marriage ceremony of our Son Taiwo Olakitan Cole, neither did we grant permission nor support in this regard. As such, person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole heritage by virtue of this purported event, are not known nor accepted by the family. All publications and documents being circulated about this are to be disregarded.”
