In a shocking turn of events, a Nigerian man has been apprehended for allegedly masterminding the murder of his wife, sending shockwaves through the Police Estate community in Kurudu, Abuja.

According to police reports, two other suspected accomplices are currently in custody in connection to the heinous crime, which unfolded on Wednesday at the victim's matrimonial home on Road 4 in the Police Estate.

The tragic incident left residents of the estate in mourning as news of the middle-aged woman's untimely demise spread. Eyewitnesses recounted seeing a suspicious young man loitering around the deceased's residence shortly before her lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood.

An anonymous eyewitness revealed, "The suspected assassin arrived at the house on a motorcycle and entered the premises. Instead of raising an alarm upon discovering the corpse, the husband attempted to clandestinely remove the body through the back door."

Further investigations suggested that the husband, now a prime suspect, may have orchestrated the murder, purportedly attempting to conceal evidence of his involvement. His suspicious behavior drew the attention of vigilant security operatives in the estate, who intercepted him while driving out. Upon searching his vehicle, they made the grisly discovery of the wife's corpse concealed inside.

Reports from the neighborhood indicated a troubled history between the couple, with suspicions arising from alleged infidelity on the husband's part, particularly involving the deceased's younger sister. This marital discord may have been a catalyst for the tragic turn of events.

The murder case has been reported to the Police Division headquarters in Kurudu, with the remains of the deceased deposited at the Asokoro General Hospital morgue. A senior police officer, speaking anonymously, affirmed that three suspects, including the deceased's husband, are currently in custody and that investigations are ongoing.

When contacted for further details, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Josephine Adeh, assured the public of a thorough investigation but was unable to provide additional information at the time of this report.
