THE CONSTITUTIN OF THE CITIZENS FOR PEACE AND FIRST AID MISSION OF NIGERIA ARTICLE NO. 1 NAME: THE ORGANISATION SHALL BE KNOWN, CALLED AND ADDRESSED AS: CITIZENS FOR PEACE AND FIRST AID MISSION OF NIGERIA ARTICLE 2 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. To render assistance to victim of accident , take care of wounded or injured people during period of emergency situation, period of environmental pollution, fire disaster or gas explosion anywhere, any place, when the need arise. 2. Providing instruction to members on the application of first aid methods to victims of accident or any disaster, and teaching the procedure for embark8ing on life-saving and First Aid operation, map-reading and location methods in times of emergency and whenever situations of natural disaster occur in any part of the federation. 3. To promote National unity, foster national loyalty and give every Citizen of Nigeria sense of belonging as expressed in section 14 (3) and (4) of the 1999 Constitution. 4. To participate in any form of First Aid operation during any situation of emergency or the occurrence of any natural disaster, and to control the traffic during such period and at other times, provide relief materials and generally calm nerves of affected person during period of occurrence of any such emergency or disaster. 5. To research and report to the appropriate authorities, suspicious behaviors and unlawful activities carried on by any person or group of persons in any part of the federation. 6. To provide necessary and timely warnings and alerts to members of any community of any i9mmediate or perceived danger or any impending disaster that may affect them. 7. To carry on regular physical and practical training activities and grooming of members of the Organisation and youths of this Country Nigeria. Conducting parades, drilling exe4rcise, agricultural extension works, training of securities personnel and imparting securities consciousness on the larger society. 8. Conducting counseling programmes on career preference to youths through formal and informal and informal meetings, seminars and workshops, and on the futility, danger and dare consequence of engaging in criminal activities, drug abuse, truancy, cultism and other social vices. 9. Preaching the virtue of t9olerance, among various ethics and religious groups and the need for the youths to always apply diligence, perseverance and forthrightness in addressing issue that come before them for consideration and offering valuable instructions on leadership qualities. 10. To mobilize and organize youth in school and other workplace in the federation to form non-partisan and non-religious social groups for the purpose of moulding their character and grooming their individual personalities to imbibe and cultivate discipline and patriotic attitudes to the ideals and goals of government and the larger society. 11. Organize conferences, seminar, workshops and group discussions among various communities and youths for the purpose of instilling discipline in the youths and fostering unity and tolerance amongst various communities and groups of youths. 12. Construct temporary shelter for displaced person and victims of natural disaster and other incidences, and assist in the distribution of relief materials and other medicaments to the affected persons as may be directed by the government. 13. To promote transparency, probity, accountability, dignity and integrity in public and private lives of all Nigeria and to assist in disseminating, educating and enlightening the public against corruption and corrupt practice nation-wide. 14. Carry on regular training, liaison with government bodies and authorities, professional associations and bodies corporate within and outside Nigeria for the purpose of enhancing the know-how and efficiency of members of the Organization. 15. Promote the establishment of our Organisation in schools, institutions of higher education, and in other workplaces which require it to establish a National information on the behavioral patterns and lifestyle of youths in the federation, together with their health, social and economic needs. 16. Refer specific or general matter to, give guidance to or review recommendations of any of the State or Zonal Command with regard to the performance of the functions and the carrying out of their duties, and the working procedure which should be followed in order to deal effectively with the responsibilities expressly conferred under the constitution. 17. To assist for the maintenance of public safety and order in the state, and the Nation as the case may be subject to the provision of the Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in case the Government issue directives of general in nature to our Organisation through the National President of the Citizens for Peace and First Aid Mission of Nigeria with regards to policy of government in relation to the functions of our Organisation. 18. To concern with induction, workshop, seminar, lectures on youth development programmes, handle community based social matters, welfare schemes, employment schemes and to stand in defense of the Nation and her Citizens. To involve in training that improves our youth members characters, help in the development of youth members to face hardship, service to their various communities which makes for dynamic leadership, encouragement that enhance physical endurance under any trying situation, improves youth discipline, industry and responsibilities in the society. 19. To encourage, recommend and recognize people who are rendering selfless service to the communities, youth Voluntary organizations and other charitable services through the award of the Oganisation Certificate of merit as it when necessary and due. 20. To improve individual members who are physically, mentally and spiritually developed, individuals who, through their personal examples, well influence the public to accept and give recognition to Citizens for Peace and First Aid Mission in Nigeria. 21. To liaise with the Government, professional bodies, corporate bodies, individuals locally and internationally for proper advancement, and development of members to cope with stress, and to have moral or working spirit for mutual respect and understanding of other fellow being anywhere, any place. 22. Under taking any trust which may lawfully be undertaking by the Organisation and may be calculated to further its objectives. To create the most needed good image reputation for the Organisation that will earn the Body the loyalty, respect, welfare of the Members, upliftment of the Body and the growth of the Nigerian Nation. 23. To help train members for leadership and remote a culture of patriotism and loyalty among members, and to accept the responsibility to participate in the transformation of our various communities in Nigeria. To make sure that members are not allowed to be provoke to violence under any circumstances, encourage sporting activities inculcate the practice of responsibility and conscientiousness among members in Nigeria. 24. To provide useful information as means of finding suitable solution to the enormous problems confronting the society in terms of personal indiscipline, as to attain virtues of patriotism, positive work ethics, honesty, probity, accountability, integrity, respect for human life and the rule of law. 25. To build or nurture a team of talented young athletes who will represent the Organisation in various sporting competitions, e. i. locally, nationally, and internationally through sponsorship and necessary assistance to mobilize them. To provide man power for security service, to encourage our members to always co0operate with other voluntary Organisations and Law Enforcement Agent in enforcing discipline in the society. 26. To make our collective efforts felt for the peace, unity and building of our community by ensuring the participation of our Members in social, economic and cultural development of the various communities and the Nation. 27. Doing all, or any of the above things in any part of the world whether as principal, agents, trustees or otherwise for the attainment of the above objectives or any of them. 28. To carry on such other activities as may be directed or authorized by the Government, or which are supplementary or incidental to the foregoing aims and objectives of the Organisation.
